I thought I may ask you :) I´m trying to stay a minimalist so I would rather have one new pair of shoes for the spring :) I already have some patent mary janes with a small block heel.
I am thinking Gucci Loafers (Jordan or 1955), and looking into Prada for slingbacks and no particular brand for the ballerina flats...Do you have brand suggestions?
And could you help me decide which style I should go for? or what to consider to make that decision? My style tends to be minimalist feminine with an edge (I dont like things that are too mature and too lady like, and no pink & ruffles) I´d like a "special design" I´m not buying luxury for something that looks like it could be from H&M. Feminine but not too delicate, pointy/square/almond toes preferred but not too "weird" or "cartoon villain" like :)
If I could narrow down to a few options then I´d buy next time I´m in Paris (I´m in EU)

Hmm, minimalist feminine with an edge.
I'd say the ballerina's would be the most feminine shoe without an edge out of the three (loafer, slingbacks, ballerina). And personally I find ballerinas to be a very cutesy girl look, even without frills/lace or loud colors. It's just that the overall shape is quite soft and round, giving me a more child-like vibe.

I personally have poor experiences with slingbacks. The strap in the back is either too tight and cuts into my feet or too loose and tends to slip. (This is with correct shoe sizing). Also, I find kitten-heel slingbacks, while more comfortable, giving sort of more mature, older appearance. Especially if they are simple and basic in design and color like the black Prada ones.

For long wear, out of the 3, I'd probably go with loafers. I'm not a personal fan of loafers, they don't fit my aesthetic. However, I do like them on other people and I have seen plenty of people wear them in a very chic feminine but cool and edgy way depending on their outfit. I have also heard that Gucci loafers become very comfortable and what's nice is that, there isn't a heel that can get caught in a crack or potentially trip you.

Hope that helps!

If you are more pants/ jeans person- I would vote for loafers.
If you are more into skirts/ dresses- then I would vote for ballerinas.
But- if you are used to running errands, or plan to- I would strongly recommend loaders or delicate black sneakers

I can kind of relate to your style. I don't know what it is with ballerinas, but they don't work for me. They just wont give me an edgy style or the right kind of "feminine touch" that I want. I have the Jordaans in black and the edge I often get with a "sharp" blazer and tight black jeans if paired with the Jordaans.

Yea I was a ballerina flat person for years…would wear with skinny jeans.
Now, not saying no to pointy ballerinas but I figured I would get more use of loafers as I am, as you say, more a tailored trousers /jeans type of person. And like wearing quite masculine clothes. I posted in a thread the loafers I ended up getting, in Paris as planned
