I have also seen reports that they intend to go into clothing too. I think they will end up selling out unfortunately. Trying to do everything at once and perfecting nothing in the end. I like them as a bag designer, that it was all they concentrated on. Won't be long before they send their production somewhere cheaper and it becomes more mass produced and no longer special. I guess it will be easier to get when that happens for those who stay loyal.
I received my 5th MG yesterday which I think is too many but when I look at them all couldn't pick which to keep and which to go. But I'm definitely done now. I think this recent news helps.

I still think I should cut back a bit (I think camello azzuro is first to go) decision is should I sell now while still popular or risk the value decreasing dramatically in the near future which looks inevitable.

I think that's a little bit cynical. They've said that they plan to keep all production in Italy for the time being, and I don't know how adding shoes as a product category will automatically make their quality suffer.

Brands need to insert newness into their collections or they'll stop being relevant. I don't love everything in the new line, but I think they're on the right track and I'll probably try to get a pair of shoes when they come out.

Cynical or not I've seen it happen with many brands. They build themselves up then move production where it's cheaper and they can make more faster.
I'm sure plenty of people feel the same way going by the pattern of other brands.

We all have different tastes though, what I've seen of their shoes appears quite average and no clothing has come out yet but who knows what will come eventually. And people are already noticing a slip in the quality before this was announced.
