Just moved to a cool, small, casual town in the PNW and I need a sportier bag. My LV twice in noir or black nylon Longchamp cross body work well in this laid back town except for when I want to do something outdoorsy like going on a quick hike or bike ride. I do have a patagonia cross body (in black) that is great but too big! We have backpacks for longer excursions. Considering the Lululemon Festival bag in Chrome (trying to get away from black) or a Kipling bag in gray or metallic.....any input?? The Festival bag is cute but it might be too small....not sure but I am petite so it would probably work.....????

i consider myself sporty/outdoorsy and Kipling does work very well, especially since they are all-weather, lightweight, and have tons of pockets and space, depending on the model you get. i have a few Kiplings for sports events, and they do make backpacks. the metallic Kiplings... they are nice, but don't look too sporty, even in darker colors. i have 2 metallics and they are way too shiny, so if you go with Kipling then i suggest to stick to a color. they have the fully adjustable straps too, so they fit every height/body frame.

I really like Lug brand. They make some cute bags and they are super functional/organized. I have several, from small crossbodies to weekend travel bags. I like the heathered nylon fabrics best (I have a few in the heathered grey) but they have many colours.

Sportsac and Kipling are also great options.

Timbuk2 messenger.
Several sizes available, keeps out rain, various colors/patterns.
Secure crossbody, with strap quick-adjust, for bike rides.
Napoleon pocket allows side zip access, without opening flap(XS size lacks this feature).
Suggest buy silencer strips they sell--velcro gets annoying.
