Spironolactone for acne questions

100mg since April and I can't believe how amazing my skin looks. Had my last Fraxel 2 mos a go and one Clear+brilliant 2 days ago. Skin looks so amazing

I also want to add that I’ve been on spironolactone for years and I love it. It has completely cleared my skin up and kept it clear and smooth. I also attribute it to keeping my weight very low. It’s great all around!

I take 25mg/day because I produce too much aldosterone. I know someone who was taking 100mg a day for acne. If I did not have to take it, I wouldn't because it is a hormone.

Spironolactone is not a hormone it just has the positive side effect of blocking testosterone . It's a high blood pressure medication and diuretic
