Speedyb 25 or speedyb 30?

So, I have a love for the speedy in both the 25 and 30. Currently, I have 2 in the 30b (DE and mono), 30 classic (my heritage), 3 of 25 classic (DE, DA and mono) and 1 DE in the 25b.

Here's where I would love some insight. I'm considering ordering either the 25b or 30b in the my heritage, OR the MWT (with initials only) which only comes in the 30b, OR just the 25b in mono or azure?

At the moment, I'm not liking the 30 classic in the my heritage as I prefer the 30b. I've also thought of possibly ordering the neverful mm or the graceful mm with peony interior.

Should I leave my current speedy collection alone and just go with a shoulder bag or do something different with my speedy collection?

I’m not sure what features of speedy is/are the one drawing you to own 7 speedy!!!

I only own 5…. :biggrin:

I have tote neverfull-like bag (Iena) and others from Gucci and Balenciaga before, I have other smaller bags as well.

I realised that without fail, I always come back to my speedys…. The few features that draws me back to speedy are:

1) zipped closure (I’m insecure when there is no zip closure!)

2) plentiful space even after putting all my essentials

3) hands-free, multi-wear options

So, depending on how much speedy draws you in, do you need the My World Tour version badly? Because from where I am based, there are no more MWT available for ladies collection. And last year Foxylv mentioned that they are and had discontinued some items in that collection. It might be the last few MWT available now…

My Heritage is still readily available for now (from where I’m based).

If the special customized speedy appeals to you, then I say, “Go get ‘em!”

I have always love speedy and will always love speedy. I’m planning to get another one when the DE 20 speedy comes out in June.

If there isn’t any other bags that draws you in so deeply like speedy, then stick to it and get a really special one!!!

I’m not of great help here… I’m too pro-speedy!!

Had no idea that in some areas the MWT items are no longer available. I'm in the US, so speedy is still available. I've noticed that in the my heritage, they did away with classic speedy's and now they are only the bandoliere version.

My understanding from what I picked up here and there is due to the customization itself. If the bag is not so “properly” made and the client decided to reject the item, LV has to honor and refund it, as there is no exchange for customised bags. And these “rejected” customised bags have no where to go to as they cannot sell it to the next client. Only place left is the dump or maybe staff sales?

Whereas, for the usual standard bags, if a client rejects this piece, they could exchange it for the next new piece and the “rejected” piece can be placed in the store for the next client who doesn’t mind the rejected piece.

Hence, it’s not very economical to produce customised bags even if they charge a premium price for it, especially if you add in the rejected pieces by clients.

If you already own so many canvas classic (bandouliere or sans-bandouliere), I support the idea of going for a more special collector’s piece!

I was always wondering that the Mon Mono items were exclusively Made in France, and that almost all of them seemed surprisingly well made. Great alignment, very straight stitches, etc... But this explains why they went the extra mile when manufacturing these.

I actually had a MWT speedy made back in 2020 and did end up rejecting it and was granted a full refund. It was MIF, however that handles were wonky and handle placement was off. Had to contact customer service 3 to 4 times and ended up having to be a bit rude in order to get a refund. Also, within that same order, I had ordered a my heritage speedy 30 classic, which came in at the same time as the MWT. The my heritage was perfect. Not sure what happened in the making of the mwt, but the quality was definitely not there. Maybe because it was the beginning of the pandemic and they were trying to rush orders along before everything shut down?
