Speedy: New Zipper Pocket

I want to buy a relatively new, pre-loved, Speedy B. However I do not want one that has a zippered pocket. Can anyone tell me the approximate date when the pocket changeover occurred. Once I know this I can shop for one with an older date code. Many resale sites including Fashionphile and eBay don't always show photos of the pockets. Thanks!

Girl I hate it too.... I sold my DE 25B because of the pocket. It takes away valuable space. I use to slip lots of things in the pocket but the zipper took up to much space. I think it's silly that they added a zipper on such a small pocket. To be safe get everything from 2015 and earlier. ~ XOXO

I understand how you fell. I really don't like the zipper on my pocket either. My speedy B 25 is from Dec. 2015. As bugn said, 2015 or earlier will be your best bet.

I understand what you mean and got lucky myself to get one of the last Speedys without that zipper. I bought mine in November 2015.

Anything prior to mid 2015 should have the original pocket since the zippered version was gradually introduced later that year

I bought my Speedy 30 DE at the end of December 2015 and it still had the open pocket, so I assume every bag since beginning of 2016 has the zipped pocket

It was made in the 45th week of 2015.

I hear you! I had all 3 prints. My DE had the zipper pocket and it annoyed me so I sold it. Now looking for a bag to replace that Speedy.
