Hi,
I was able to find a speedy 25 online. That was the only one available and I quickly ordered it. Just wondering now if the handheld option is actually okay to use or should I keep waiting for b25? I do have a two year old and my everyday bag is usually Pochette Metis or Senreve Aria. Sometimes it’s the Lou camera bag. I am hoping to use Speedy for travelling and just everyday use too. Wondering if that could work for me. Thoughts?

You can get a separate strap for the 25 and it could work. But from what I've seen of the B25 it is just such a cute bag worn cross body. It's smaller and doesn't have the same duffle baggish look as the B30 in my opinion. I have the B30 by the way and having that long strap is so convenient even if I don't use it all of the time.

I had the Speedy 30 and sold it for Speedy B 35 and I'm a mom of 2 (under 5 years old). All of my purses are crossbody or backpack because I prefer anything hands free. I rather hold my kids’ hand at all times than holding onto my purse. The good thing about the Speedy B are the options. Good luck deciding.

Yeah. You are absolutely correct!

I have both.

Much prefer the handheld speedy PLUS a separate strap (LV or non-branded) for hands-free time when desired.

I don’t like how the leather side straps of the B version make the bag appear more casual (ie. gym bag-ish).
Thank you for sharing! I hadn’t thought about the gym bag appearance factor. I most certainly don’t want that!

does the separate strap look nice? I just thought it might not look nice or distort the shape of the bag in some way. Though all i carry is a card case and sunglasses (without a case) and a lip gloss.

Definitely with the B strap!
I know it’s hard to come by waiting to get your hands on Speedy B and when you see the Speedy available, you wish to get your hands on it asap before it disappears again.
But if you get the classic Speedy without strap you will regret the hassle and when the Speedy B pops up available you might wanna buy that instead.

My first Speedy bag was the Speedy B25, and I am so glad I got it! You can remove the strap if you please, but I always wear it with the strap. Also, I believe I read somewhere (probably here!) that the classic Speedy without a strap cannot have a strap attached to it without damaging the integrity of the bag. Good luck!
