I believe the classic Speedy 35 is now discontinued in the 3 canvas prints. The Speedy B 35’s remain. Stocks already mostly sold out across UK, EU and AUS online.

LV keep your hands off the classic/heritage pieces! you’ve already got enough crazy weird stuff that should be more part of collections, now as your standard range.. The least you could do is keep the classics for those who appreciate your history. At the very least, in limited production.

I feel like this came out of nowhere? It was only a hot minute ago that the internet went crazy thinking neverfulls were discontinued and then bang it was actually the Speedy 35! I note they still raised the price on them in the recent price rise!

The mindset of just continuously flooding the market with weird and wonderful fads that people get over the very next season is not what has gotten LV to where it is today..
The brands long standing and distinguished heritage is something that money can’t buy and that most other luxury houses wish they had. It’s a unique card that LV has always had the ability to play but it seems that over the past 5 years or so they have moved away from their heritage. When was the last time a marketing campaign focused on that history rather than just bright flashy in the moment fads that don’t last…?
Don’t get me wrong there’s certainly room for the weird and wonderful however that’s what collections are for, but when you start to gut your brands 150year tried and true essentials, you’re going to have a problem on your hands.
Oddly, the recent women’s pre-fall show featured speedy 35’s in epi leather.. something the brand has done before however, one would have to assume then that that would grow interest in the bag and had they kept the canvas versions, would have provided an alternative opportunity for those who may not vibe the epi when it hits the stores.
Also, rather than investing hundreds of millions into new pieces every month, LV could spend a quarter of that simply remarketing their existing and classic pieces in new and exiting ways to regain interest. I mean let’s be honest here, the speedy and alma bags are what got LV to where it is today..

That’s crazy. I notice only the Azur appears on the UK website (though it’s showing as unavailable) in the original model. I also noticed the bandoulière version in 35 is now £1510. :shocked: I’d always thought about adding one of these to my collection, but I wish I’d done it a long time ago. Looking at the current price for this, it’s hard to swallow since I paid approx. £800 for my Keepall 45 bandoulière.

Ok LV what is going on…. Are you running out of canvas or what??
So now also the Gracefuls are gone, as well as the Petit Noe NM…..
I haven‘t checked every style, maybe even more is affected…?

Interesting! All 3 classic Speedy 35 canvas prints are still available on the US site; I wonder if they’re just selling through existing stock and then when they’re gone, they’re gone for good. :confused1:

I would be interested to know how well these sell and if that’s the reason they’re being discontinued … I know they’re classic LV, but the 35 size is just SO large; more of a luggage size IMHO, but then it doesn’t come with a long shoulder strap, which limits it’s functionality (or forces you to spend more on a shoulder strap). I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold significantly less of this model, but who knows?

lots of times people buy things for their own reasons & needs, I had Speedy classic & b 35 before, while some people want to have a strap, I found it can be annoying hanging there swinging back and forth since I typically wear bags hand carry, of course sometimes I like to have the strap, haha, but anyway, 35 is great for someone is taller or use gym bag or carry iPad pro or laptop or travel (because it would be a bit weird to carry a 45 around town but 35 would be totally fine).

Are you kidding me, the Petit Noe's are gone as well??? What on earth is happening? This is just crazy. First the NF, now the Speedy 35 and now you're saying the Petit Noe as well? Wow is all I can say...just wow!

I have both the Speedy 40 and Noe GM, and they're just so classic and stylish. I've had them for years and still use them regularly.

Hmmm so weird! What if this is part of a sneaky plan to temporarily phase out current canvas bags only to re-roll them out with better canvas… Like instead of re-calling current and recently sold stock due to issues like canvas cracking, flaking, melting, etc. They pull the canvas bags off the shelves like this, one by one, and make everyone go on a waitlist for them, in the meantime they’re actually reworking the canvas without having to admit to poorer materials/processing/QC joking ofc but won’t it be hilarious omg
