Speedy 20 - scratch/dent on vachetta, will this get better?

Hi all, my speedy 20 has a small scratch/dent on the vachetta

The bag is quite new, will the leather smoothen overtime and will the dent get less obvious? And am I overreacting because it’s a relatively new bag? Everything else looks so perfect except for this

Leather is a natural material. It will show flaws over time. I have this bag and I love it. Just enjoy it!

For something that small, I think it will patina and blend away over time. The first 'mark/scratch' etc. on new vachetta hurts the most but it'll fade with time from your memory. Try not to stress about it, as Lori says, love and use the bag- that's what they're meant for

There will be more marks to come and you will love the bag just the same. I think it will even out soon enough. Keep the leather conditioned as she ages.

Hoping to give you some comfort, I’ve used my speedy 20 the first time today since I bought it last year and maybe I was traveling with my 2 kids plus with an extra backpack to carry, together with some bumping here and there, even though I feel I am being as careful as I normally am, I ended up had 2 deep scratches on the handle. I was in as much heartache as you but in the same time, like other members mentioned, I actually feel I will have more ease to use it now that it has scratched.
