I ordered a Speedy B 25 in Ebene through my CA and just received it yesterday. This is the 2nd bag I've received with indentations, wrinkling, etc. When I opened the box the strap was already attached which I think caused the indentation on the side, the box was torn, and there's wrinkling on one side. The last one I received had the lock already attached and there were scuff marks on one side of the leather. Shouldn't they they just pack the speedy with the lock and strap INSIDE the bag to avoid this?

I know there's issues with LV quality, but am I being too picky? Are they all going to have these issues?

Looks like the one sent to you had already been returned. Usually the strap comes wrapped up inside the bag with the lock inside as well. The indentation on the leather probably won’t go away but those on the canvas will. Since the dents bother you, I’d send back immediately.

The dent will not go away, but IMO, it would be best to wait until you can physically inspect the bag you purchase. This is bc I’ve heard numerous stories that the bag you get after an exchange may be even worse. I’m sorry this happened to you

Yeah I have a monogram 30 from 2011 and none of these issues!

I would return the bag for the leather side wrinkling alone. A CA tried to sell me one like that and refused it. My older monogram speedy did not reflect this at purchase nor after 2 years. I waited a year and bought the speedy de to perfection.

Yeah I keep getting returned bags…disappointed!

I'd return it even if it had arrived from H&M. Come on. I am usually the defender of Vuitton when people are expecting something unrealistic, but in this case, it is unreal how anyone at Vuitton though that it was OK to ship this. So sad.
I also say that wrinkling is natural on leather products, but I only accept it on parts that are bent or moving by design, not on surfaces that were intended to be smooth and flat. And while on VVN it literally can be ironed out by a leather craftsman, Ebene leather has a thick coating, and when that coating gets wrinkled, there is no way back.

Lol…like your reference to H&M…you’re totally right.

I just reread your post and realized this is the second one that was dented. so, I really do advise waiting and inspecting in person. It’s terrible to be disappointed like this, and a second time is of course much worse.
