Okay, so I am moving in a bit and can make one last bag purchase before I move into my new place and I'd like to make it a YSL Majorelle. Specifically, I am looking for a large one in a dark color...

Please help me out...this will be my last big purchase for at least 6 months( well, I think so, unless I really get tempted!)

Thanks!

There are a few on Ebay right now..........but are you comfortable buying from there? When I got my Majorelle, I had the SA at Nordies do a search and there wasn't anymore. But I wasn't suprised because it was a return.

Good luck! I'll keep my eyes open for you!

Hi eveyyone I just got a 'Borsa Majorelle' as one of my birthday presents - its the very small size - it is like a party summer bag it is a riot of colours and in the pebbled / shiny leather with the gold hardware. The colours are amazing greeny gold sides, scarlett piping and base(!) grey blue on either side of the gold zips (till the scarlett piping) and then mauvy pink (!) handles and the same mauvy pink on the gold bars that the gold rings holding the handles (!) go into and inside green satin lining. It's style 1971155.

My question to you fine experts is...is it too much? Will it date really fast or should I keep it?
Quandry Quandry...help please!

is the one you're talking about similar to this?

I think if you like it and it fits your lifestyle then you should keep it as it is a birthday present :smile1: [or maybe just for the fun of having just a loud, colourful, pastel bag...:p]

^original poster: try calling the outlets, the Majorelle are on a deep discount now there. When I was buying mine, they did mention they had the smaller size than my large one [but not the mini size] in black but it's not all black patent, only the front and back are, the sides are normal leather :confused1:

Hi Lemon
Yes that's my bag the one on the right in the photo - small size.
I think it's really fun but I don't know how much wear I'll get out of it.
The style is very classic I know but I wonder if the colours are so OTT to be iconic or fashion victim? Maybe I need to break out of my black/ brown / cream / and most outlandish - red - safety zone and live a little :graucho:
Thanks again!
