Hi, I am planning to trip to Spain or Italy next week for a holiday.

I cannot decide on Spain or Italy. Primary objective is to tour as i've never been to any part of europe. However I do hope to bring back some Hermes. :graucho:

Which city or cities has/have better chance of getting a kelly and/or Birkin? I will be buying accesories and some bags and hopefully get a kelly and birkin.

Spain:
Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza

OR

Italy:
Florence, Rome, Milan, Vernice

Every advice will be appreciated.

Thanks! :smile1:

Neither.... too many Asian tourist looking to buy for resale that Birkins and Kelly are reserved only for the regular clients in the local markets. But good luck all the same...

I love both Italy and Spain. I think scoring certain items really just depend on luck. I will be in Spain next month for a few weeks and I am hoping to find some great items in Barcelona and Madrid. Another factor in scoring items is how picky you are in terms of leather and color. Good luck!

Try France as well. We are heading back to the south of France in Feb. and I have seen decent stock at the boutiques in Nice, St. Tropez, Cannes and Monte Carlo.

I was in Florence last week. The city is full of tourists even at this time of the year. I picked up a small twilly from the Hermes store which I couldn't find in London. The sa attended on me was really really nice. There was a 35 iris kelly and a 35 gris t birkin on display but they were for display only.
After all it's all depends on your luck, you might get lucky and you never know.
If you want to score a K or a B, you have better chance buying in the states.

Thanks all for your inputs!

I have discussions with my hubby and friends over holiday destinations and we have narrowed down to Spain or Italy... why? well... purely random suggestions which just became our preferred destinations. I remember reading a thread saying spain was easier to get kelly and birkin... No?:shrugs:

so Italy just sells their kelly and birkin to the Italians?

Awful!! to see them on display but not for sale.

Enjoy, you will prob have the highest chance of scoring in Paris, as compared to Italy or Spain. Then again, keep trying, you never know when lady luck might shine =)

I just came back from a 3 week trip to Italy and Barcelona. The trip was great except tremendously disappointed with Hermes Venice, Florence and Barcelona. Hermes Venice was completely depleted of merchandise. They only had about 7 scarves and 4 -5 bracelets. They had a couple of Bolides and a Victoria.

Florence was even worse. The Birkin and Kelly they had were marked for display purposes only. They were promoting having your Hermes bag marked with your initials (at least got my Jypsiere initialed), but they had no Birkin or Kelly inventory available for sale. The manager of the Florence store was very nice (he knows my SA). He explained that they were at the "end of the season" and were waiting for new bags. Had to settle for buying some scarves and bracelets.

No Birkins in Barcelona either.

On my return to the US, spent a couple of days in NYC. Went to Hermes Madison and they had sold the last Birkin that morning. I was tremendously tempted by another Bolide in Iris (gorgeous!), but decided to wait for my Birkin.

Hope you have better luck than I did.
