You want me to stand on a ladder with a pot of boiling water and pour it over my scarf in the hopes that the gushing flow of steaming water will force the dye out the fabric? And all without giving myself third degree burns?????? Or scalding the cats??????

Will you still wear it? I just came acros this thread and I am so sorry for your scarf injury, Shopmom. But, I had a few great chuckles while reading the boiling water suggestion and your response! Do you think you wil try again to get the faint spots out?

I am just too scared to ever put ANY WATER on my scarves
I washed a scarf once very gently with special detergent for wolford tightss
result one big mess
all the colors ran
I send mine straight to hermes for there dry cleaning specialist

have you tried sprinkling the fine grained baking soda on the wound?
i do this to my favorite cognac colored leather chairs (dh eggroll oil...okay, mine too.....)
worth a try, sm?
