It is a traditional Mexican soup made with tripe, onion, chili powder and hominy. I used to call it Possum stew after the Beverly Hillbillies. I wouldn't touch it for years, but now I love it. I live in SW Texas so it is a staple around here. I am not Mexican, but my housekeeper is and she makes a killer Menudo among other things.

I'm half filipino and there's this dish that is black and it's called dinaguan and it's made out of pork's blood. It's one of my fav. dishes but other filipinos i've met throughout my life do not like it as much as I do

I've had that at a Lebanese wedding! It was OK..not good/bad...no real flavor,

Lebanese food is eaten a lot in Brasil since we had so much Lebanese immigration, so lots of people eat it. I love it!
