Hey everyone! I’m looking For a little input, as I’m being indecisive. I have two speedy B 35’s, one mono and one damier ebene. I don’t really use them much anymore cause I use smaller bags lately. I’m considering Selling them but every time I take them out I doubt that decision. I know it sounds crazy. I keep telling myself I’d do better with a speedy B 20, but I guess I question if the canvas quality is really that different now? My two bags are from 2012. I’d love some advice. TIA!

I have the same 2 but not bandolier. I’d keep them. Large bags are very useful sometimes and these two are classics. If you ever wanted to repurchase you may have to end up paying more than you sell them for. I don’t use mine often but when I do I enjoy it and I’m so happy I have them.

Hang onto your original LVs. The quality of the canvas was better than it is now. Style trends change as your life does, and you may have regrets later. Not to mention you will be glad did (since the price you paid in 2012 will get you far less in the future if you do sell and then want to re-acquire the same bag again). Many times I look at my bags that hardly get carried, but I dare not sell them off because I will never get the quality or value back again. What SpeedyB 20 were you interested in ?

I was looking at the monogram canvas. I was also worried about paying way more than I paid years ago but I also feel if I’m not going to use them, then maybe it pays off? Hard decisions!

I know what you mean and understand your dilemma. I rarely use my classic Speedy 40, but I don't have the heart to sell it. Especially since I got the full vachetta replaced about a year and a half ago, so it looks practically new (even though it's from 1998). The quality is so good on the canvas, that I know I won't be able to get another good quality Speedy again if I were to sell it. I say keep it and just wait it out. Right now, small bags are in, so that could be why you're using smaller bags now. You'll want to reach for your 35's again soon, and you'll be happy that you didn't sell.

Yes! I’ve been reading the canvas is different now. I haven’t bought a canvas bag in a while, I’ve been trying to add more leather pieces over the years.
It might not be the same as it was years ago, but if we didn’t have anything to compare it to it would still be pretty good. Whatever they changed about it hasn’t really affected me if I think about it, other than I just know it’s not the same as before. Overall craftsmanship has certainly declined though, but in my experience they’ve been doing a good job handling any issues that come up.
