I've been looking for a smallish, black cross body bag, since I gave my daughter the Rebecca Minkoff bag I'd bought a few years ago. When I was in the Coach store to get my Rogue a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the Dinky 24 and tried it on. I really liked it and decided to go back last night and see if they still had the black one (I was also looking at the butterscotch one, which is gorgeous and was seriously side-tracking me from my quest to find a black bag). They had the black - and even had an unopened one in back, so I brought it home! I also had them order a blind-monogrammed hang tag for me, although I usually hate things hanging off my bag and hitting the side of the bag, making noise. I figured since it's free, I'd give it a try.
This bag has THE most amazing leather - it's buttery soft. The details are incredible too - the mixed metal and leather chain strap has the brown leather and brown stitching that match the brown stitching on the bag and really make it stand out. The black hardware gives the bag a fun, edgy feel. The interior is fully lined in soft, tan leather, which keeps the bag brighter on the inside and makes it easy to spot your items. The strap can be worn long on the shoulder or cross body, or doubled to wear shorter on the shoulder. The back slip pocket makes getting to my phone super easy without having to go inside the bag. (Having a pocket I can get to easily is a make-or-break feature for me because I hate digging for my phone.) I put my credit and debit cards in the french purse/kiss lock pocket so I didn't have to carry a wallet, but I may decide to use my thin card case which holds cards and a little bit of cash but is still super thin. The bag is surprisingly roomy and fits my small leather cosmetic bag, keys, gum, checkbook, and iPhone 7
, which is generally all I carry. I could easily put sunglasses in there too. It's kind of pricy for a small bag, but I think just like the Rogue, for the details and leather quality you're getting, the price is totally justified. Here are a few photos since I didn't see any of the black when I looked through the Dinky clubhouse.
