Soho Disco or the LV Favorite MM?

Hi everyone! My birthday is coming soon and I'm in the market for a new bag. I'm not sure whether to get the Gucci disco bag or the LV Favorite MM. I'm reading that the disco bag maybe discontinued?


A large factor that would help me decide is resale value of the disco bag in the future in case they do discontinue it. If I fall out of love with a bag I end up never using it so I'd like to be able to sell it to fund another bag. I don't want to get the bag if it ends up being only worth a fraction of the cost because of it being discontinued :/


Any advise would be much appreciated, thank you!

Happy Birthday! I have a Disco and I had a Favorite MM. The Favorite warped on the flap which is a very common problem with this bag so I exchanged it for something else. I wasn't willing to try it again.

With that said here's the main differences in the two. The Gucci has an adjustable strap. The Favorite does not. Depending on your height it looks short cross body on many. I bought a Eva strap to wear with mine. (I'm 5'6) The Disco zips shut and the Favorite has the magnetic closure. The Disco holds a lot more and is also all leather. As for resale I'm not really sure because I love mine so much I'd never give it up. But maybe check eBay to compare the two?

Do you mean warped as in the flap was bending permanently?

And thank you! Yeah it seems like the Disco would be far less problematic and I've been reading a lot of positive reviews on it. I'll probably end up getting the disco

Also to note I read on the disco thread that the bag will be discontinued. So the resale value might hold up

You're welcome! Yes the flap had a permanent bend in it. Others get a crease mark above where the magnet is placed. Mine got the bend in it after 2-3 uses. The Disco is a great bag, much better than the Favorite IMO. [emoji3]

I have another question! I've pretty much decided on the Disco and I can't decide between red and black. I want the red but I don't want to worry about color transfer, do you know if that's a problem for the red?

I haven't heard of it with red but I would be cautious with wearing dark colors, especially denim. The red is such a pretty shade but that's a tough call with it being cross body.

the red looks so beautiful. I'm in the same boat, I'm wondering if I should buy the gucci disco or not... I've been having internal wars in my brain for the past couple of weeks! LOL! My heart is say YES YES YES!!! My brain is like "dang, girl you just got ur HG bag, what's wrong with you?!"
It looks like a great functional, every day bag! I've been watching SO many youtube clips over and over again about this bag! I even went in to Gucci yesterday to have a try on and touch and feel. It's so beautiful!!!

Happy birthday!! I had the Favorite mm in mono and DE. Sold them. It wasn't for me. I didn't like the magnetic closure. I have the red disco and LOVE it. As for color transfer I have no issues at all. I do wear blue and black denim jeans. My bag still looks new. Good luck in deciding!!! Hey guys so a quick update, I actually ended up going with the Favorite MM! I saw both bags in person and the Gucci was beautiful but I loved the look of the MM more. Also I live in a place where it rains quite often and randomly so I figured the canvas would be able to withstand better than the leather of the disco. Thank you all for your replies!
