Soho Disco Bag - stiff zip?

Hello lovely tPF'ers!
I just have a quick question... do you happen to know if Soho Disco bags zips are not terribly smooth?
I bought a bag from Ebay - at first glance it all looks good but I just wanted to know how smooth the zip should be.
Happy to post in the authentication thread too but before I do, any advice from you would be gratefully received!

I lightly apply some candle wax to both sides of the zip then open and close it a few times. I’ve done it many times to shoe, bag, and even jacket zippers. If you decide to try it, just make sure the wax is light/natural colored, don’t want any color to be visible.

Mine definitely had a stiff zip. I never knew about the wax trick!

Mine has a very smooth zip, but I have had other Gucci bags with cluncky zippers…

The zip on mine is super smooth and has been since I got it.

My zipper is smooth - but nothing like my LV zippers. Those are BUTTER.

Thank you for coming back with so many comments. Can I please ask a big favour of you? Can you please turn the bag so that you can see the stitching inside the bag itself. I'm concerned that the bag I bought is fake... the stitching is uneven as attached esp the bottom photo and the holes where the stitches are coming through look a bit big. I've just bought one from Browns Fashion and the smell and feel of my bag is off. If you bought from Gucci directly (or any other highly reliable e-tailer etc.) please can you check yours and report back?
The real bag should have very even stitching, surely?
