SOG polish - is there a reason why they don't have mixing balls?

I only own a few OPI GelColor shades, so forgive me if other gel polishes DO come with mixing balls, but is there a reason why gel polishes wouldn't have mixing balls in them?

Just wondering

Most SOGs do contain mixing balls, but you just can't hear them when shaking the bottle (even on a paint shaker) b/c the viscosity of the gel polish has a cushioning effect. When SOGs first came out, it was thought that the pigment would stay mixed in "pure gel" (non-hybrid polish) SOGs, but now we know that SOGs can & do separate. Hope that helps
