So you got the HG bag....now what?

I just purchased my most expensive bag a few weeks ago and now it's like the rest of the closet disappeared. I don't want to use anything else, using the excuse of it being the most expensive so I should 'wear it out'. But I don't really have the urge to get rid of anything else.....just don't want to use anything but the new bag. And honestly, don't really have to bug to buy a new one anytime soon. Anyone else had this happen? I normally want a new bag every few months or so. But now I don't even feel like planning on the next bag.

I've had this feeling before with a new bag but sadly it usually passes too quickly. Then I'm on to the next. But lately I'm finding that there aren't any bags I currently want, which is a good thing. Maybe I'll just sit back and enjoy he great bags I have for a while. It's a good feeling!

I think it's a good thing that you're excited about the bag and that you want to carry it. Like the previous poster said, I'm sure the feeling may pass but there's something nice about feeling content with your collection. It's nice to not always be looking, something that's difficult if you spend a ton of time on tPF

I'm sure you'll have occasion to use the other bags in your collection when the time comes. I myself am making an effort to rotate bags daily or every other day and I'm enjoying wearing my new pieces and my old favorites. It keeps things from getting worn out and will keep my newer bags fresh longer. I also got my ultimate HG recently and have not carried it yet but I will be taking it out soon. I'm waiting because it has not actually sunk in that it's mine!

I got my HG about a year ago. While I love it, I have it so the mania is over. It's in the rotation and I really enjoy carrying it when an outfit calls for it. .

But, other bags have since caught my attention. I don't have a new HG bag - just a few I'd like to get over the next year or so.

It actually feels really good to have scratched that itch so I'm not manic over any bags and feel pretty content!

Much like your exes and bffs when you fall in love with Mr Right (or, more accurately, Mr Right Now), your ex-bagfriends, your best bag friends don´t exist anymore, you neglect them all as you only wanna spend every waking breathing minute lost in the sheer perfection of your new heart-throb-bag.

Nevermind! Enjoy it fully, it´ll pass soon enough as you notice the first scuff, the first dent and the first water-stain... as your blind passion for your HG wanes, so will you re-discover with a renewed fondness all your other bags. Exactly - whenever I get a new purse or wallet I don't want to use any of my others for months - but then it gets "old" and I go back to rotating them. Not even a HG, just any new one.
