Ok, so I think I need y'all to slap me around a bit.
I went from safe blacks and browns (leathers) to siggy and now to patent. I used to not like patent.
I am in love with my cobalt and green chain patent Sabrinas.
I just changed into my Parker mush. Satchel...the ladies needed a break.
I suddenly feel like I went from eating lobster to eating a rice cake.
Don't get me wrong, I like it but it feels a bit...drab. I got used to flashy.
Tell me how to snap out of it!
I need to snap out of it before the girls start a war in my closet for playing favorites

lol!! sorry but you have such a way with words  I'm on Cali time so I'm still up and off tomorrow Vet Day. Anyway have you tried the scarf, fob way with it? maybe take some out and mix and match with them for a color combo.

The mushroom is really a nice color and with the fall/winter coming it will be a nice bag to carry during these drab days ahead. I feel your pain because all the pretty color bags we carried this spring and summer the mushroom color might seem like a step down but it really isn't. you just have to in my best Tim Gunn voice "Make it Work"

Lol. Tied cr*ap on it for half an hour. Got a brown, mush, and touch of yellow scarf on it now....but she dousnt shimmer, twinkle, and dance when light hits her; not like my blue hussy does. My patents scream "look at me, hey baby, how U doin'".

How did you get used to flashy? I have only black, browns, and my graphite (ok well I just got a pink/khaki heritage stripe). I want a bag with color, but am afraid that I will look silly with it or it won't match what I wear. I need some color in my life!

Tell me about it. Those bags were SO out of my color comfort zone. I thought the mushroom was too much at one point! Yet...just like the orange Honda Element we have (aka, the orange toaster) it just doesn't seem so bright after looking at it for 3 years. Dunno, some part of my brain just turned the flashy flag button off?

NewCoachQueen,
I don't know if you like the color pink but I think a pretty pink combo scarf and or pink color fob with some bling (crystal) in the fob or shimmer in the scarf woulds look nice with the mushroom. also certain shades of blues would also work.

I also just stick with black, gray and graphite bags, but when I do step outside the box, I tend to carry color bags in the metallics, platinum, bronze, steel family and I wear it like a neutral. I do have a red large Carly that I fell in love with but for some reason I only carry it in the fall/winter months and will get it out over the weekend for rotation to use for winter. Now my clothing wardrobe I wear a lot of colors and I think that is way I just always gravitated(sp) to black bags cause I love color in my clothes and flashy jewelry.

I did the same thing. I went from my browns, greys and blacks, to now carrying teal, amythest and tangerine!! All of a sudden my old standards look blah.... I've been jazzing them up with a bright scarf or fob. Seems to cheer them up quite a bit! (and me!)

Color is in - and it makes everything POP!!!!!! I use to be black/brown - but when you had color - wow what a difference- i have ONE black and ONE brown - everything is color -

I always feel like the black sheep around the forums because I love bling. I used to carry Guess purses before Coach - and they always had rhinestones, shimmer and lots of stuff going on. I thought once I got into Coach I'd change to more demure leathers, but I just can't do it. At heart I love bling, my DH says I'm like a raven - attracted to anything that shimmers - case in point - my latest Ocelot Hailey.

So I'm afraid I can't be of much help either. But it's nice to know I'm not the only one loving purses that aren't always on the conservative side.

I love flashy and sparkly so I'm no help! LOL

Most of my bags are either patent or metallic leathers.

To me, black bags have their place...when you are wearing flashy or statement jewelry or a blouse with a strong color. If you are wearing jeans, though, a flashy, bright bag really makes the outfit pop!

LOL, that is so funny but I understand what you mean. I got the Audrey Ocelet and when I used it I love the Bling Bling so much that I could not give her up so I wore her for two weeks.

I like flash bags or bags with a lot of hardware that make it flash so I have a lot of that including two Pnt Leathe bags. But sometime after a long use of Flash I like a break and go for my simpler bags.

I do appreciate a well made bag that has elegant charm and makes a quite statement.

Like the below Madison she is not flashy or modern but she is just amazing in her elegancy.

You need to note the reason you love your other bags... and they it will all come back to you
