I know. My DH already said that so it is my fault but I'm still irritated because we've been really trying to work on not chewing things up.

Is it a lab? We had a lab that was a horrible chewer until he turned two then he was the BEST dog ever!!

Actually I've been in boutiques when customers are in replacing pieces for the same reason!

so sorry - silver lining is that it was a less expensive item - my dog actually went pee on my epi speedy and I didn't catch it -

Awww, I'm so sorry. You are not alone. 
I've been a dog owner since 1987 and I can't tell you how many shoes, etc. I've had to reimburse my family/friends that visit and yes, you guessed it, they chewed up something they brought.
DH and I knew the dogs that chew things and could always remember to put them up up and away from poor little chewing doggie poo.
Keep your head up, and go replace your cles. These things happen in life sometimes... I bet your sweet little doggie is thinking this

Looking on the bright side... at least it was "only" a $200 SLG as opposed to a $1k+ bag, right??
It's so hard to be mad at dogs for doing these things. My dogs have chewed up movies, a bag of Hershey Kisses, a couple pairs of heels... and when they were teething, window sills and the corners of the wooden stairs :/
