Help! I am dying for a change. My hair has been the same color for almost 9 years. It's so gold, I hate it! I would love to go lighter but I don't know if that would wash me out. Or would darker suit me? Both? I have no idea what looks good.

If you're starting to get bored, I would think about adding some low lights throughout to break it up a bit. It might be enough for it to feel different with out a HUGE immediate change.

I agree. Some hi or low lights could spice things up and if you like the way it looks you can slowly add more

Let me start by saying I LOVE the colour of your hair!! If you insist on changing it (we all need a change every once in a while) I think you'd look great with darker hair, maybe a light brunette or caramel-ish colour.
