I'm a first kinda gal myself. I found the city to be a bit too big and floppy for me.
The first two you see in front are "firsts" - the one is back is a hobo - which collapses down flat against the body if you don't have too much in it (come to think - the city does that too)
the last pic is what I actually carry in my first. I too am a speedy fan (although don't own one right now) - My fav speedy was the mini - so you can see I'm a small bag kinda gal

The City is a good size to start off with i think - cos it's the most versatile - good luck with your bag hunts!
Btw if you miss out on a black/white one this time (cos you can always get them next season anyway) SS07 has some gorgeous gorgeous colours that are TDF! And you'd be killing yourself if you missed them!
