Small zodiaque medallion necklace or magic Alhambra Long necklace

Hi guys, I would like to add a long necklace to my vca collection. I want the necklace can be either layered or worn alone. Please let me know your thoughts on both. Thank you!!

I think the Magic Alhambra will be easier to wear. I love the large zodiac but it’s totally overpriced for just a pendant. The stones used are not very rare.
I got the small zodiac pendant and love it. Can be layered with my other pieces.

Pick up a zodiac from another designer (likely for less money and will include chain) and get the Alhambra. You’ll wear both.

I think small zodiaque can be easily layered, magic Alhambra would be a bit too much if layered. But magic Alhambra looks so nice to be worn alone. So hard to choose lol

I have the Zodiac and I really enjoy it. The craftsmanship is beautiful, especially the rich color of the gold. I like that it doesn’t scream VCA and can be worn causal or for work. I also like that it is solid gold, and I don’t have to baby it. Nevertheless, I am sure you will be happy with whichever you decide. I have yet to be disappointed by any of my VCA pieces.

To me the zodiac is better value, given that it's gold. I would always choose an all gold piece over a piece with a stone. Maybe it's laughable to consider value when we're talking about VCA, but I know the stones used by them aren't truly valuable whereas gold is.

Ah! I thought you meant the large zodiac and the Magic 16!
My mistake.
I love my small Zodiac because it’s more everyday. I don’t have the Magic but it looks like it’s more dressy because bigger. So depends on how you want to wear it!
Both are gorgeous!

I love the zodiac pendant. It is understated, casual and layers well with lots of different necklaces. I have worn it with charm necklaces, with another zodiac pendant and even with Gucci and Hermes fashion jewelry. I find the Magic to be an odd length for me (probably because I am not tall enough!) and also think it might be harder to layer because it looks dressy and more like a standalone necklace if that makes sense.

I was torn between the two pieces like you and I ended up with the magic. Since the zodiac medallion doesn’t come with a chain, I intend on using my magic chain with the medallion when I decide to get it in the future (this way I don’t have to buy a separate chain).

The zodiac with the 70cm chain is a great long length for layering with shorter necklaces. The magic chain is longer, and it can clank around worn long and hit counter tops etc. when you bend forward. I like the magic chain worn doubled. The zodiac is a more easy going piece. I wear mine every day layered with one shorter necklace. The VCA gold zodiacs are a joy to wear. I prefer them to other zodiac collections, because they are low key cool.
