Small Envelope vs Mini Lou Camera Bag

I have 2 mini Lou’s - one in black and one in dark beige. I love them! Can be dressed up or down. BUT I have been lusting over the small envelope bag for a while and have a chance to get it preloved for a bit more than I paid for my black mini Lou. I might swap ‘em. That way, I have one of each. I’m a poll addict as well as a YSK addict so… Which do you like more from an aesthetic perspective as well as an overall recommendation?

To me, the envelope may depend on what you wear in the winter because it always seems to stick out a bit compared to our beloved college, nikis that form closer to body.

For the mini Lou, I use the card slots that are built in for my cards and a bit of cash, my mini pochette with a few small items and I toss my car keys and fob in that so they don’t scratch the bag. I can also fit my sunglasses in a soft case and squeeze my iPhone 14 pro max in there but it does feel tight. It’s more comfortable if the sunglasses are on my head or phone in hand.

I have the medium envelope and it does not fit the same amount as my Gucci camera bag. I purposely bought the mini Pochette because the medium could not accommodate a small LV cosmetic bag. A small envelope will likely fit less than a mini Lou.

If you want variety, get the small envelope. If you need consistent capacity, then get another mini Lou.

I’m on the fence of getting a mini Lou in dark beige before the next price increase.

Yes - agreed! I opted to order a small envelope with silver hardware bc it can be dressed up or down but adds variety. I think I wasn’t satisfied with having 2 of the same bag. Omg I highly recommend the mini Lou in dark beige - I am so happy I got it and like it better than my black one!
