ive asked around the fb groups and I have this Captiva in navy canvas coming. never used with dustbag. im happy I asked

So as I originally asked for this item, I must have wanted it right? Someone in the group tries to steal it from under me, EVEN AFTER I SAID IM INTERESTED… WHAT THE HECK?!
I already have a deal with the seller… my goodness this person wasn’t even thinking about this item before I asked for it. Probably didn’t even know it existed…
was meant for me not you….
i have hunted for this item for awhile now

Sharing online has plusses and minuses. It can be frustrating,
but don't take it personally. In the end,
either it's meant to be or it isn't.... try not to stress.
It just takes the joy out of collecting handbags and SLGs.
We can't dictate others behavior or ethics.... unfortunately.

The world would be a better place is everyone behaved
better. Have you ever shopped with a friend who wanted
an item you had already set aside to consider buying....
and then instead of saying how nice it was, or if you didn't
want it they were interested, they proceeded to tell you
how much they really really really wanted it and tried to convince you
to let them have it instead? A 'friend' who put their wants ahead
of yours and ahead of the value of the friendship by trying to manipulate
and guilt you?

Well when you put it that way…. Ok I will not look unkindly at the situation. It was meant for me and I will have it. Maybe she can find one someday. This captiva looks like it will hold quite a lot. My bottles and tubes of Mary kay masks, micellar water, cleansers around the sides in the holder thingys and brushes powders, shadows in the center.

Somebody tried to swoop in at the last seconds on my Clayton, which shoul be here monday. I was having NONE of that… nobody seemed to be interested until I made my bid, of course I know when I saw it that it was meant for me. I can’t wait to come home from work and open that package.

Ive got my eye on a small Sloan knowing I don’t need anything else. If it’s meant for me then I will have it. Smh at myself. I was only supposed to be getting a mini satchel or 2 Friday. That might turn into 4 more bags depending on prices.

so LJ I bought my niece the wayfarer drawstring in navy For Christmas. This was the first time I’ve experienced dooney nylon and I am very impressed. It felt super lightweight, thick and luxurious. The strap was nice and thick. She has 2 small kids and I thought this bag would be easy to carry and big enough for their needs. We will see what she says when she opens it. I usually get her coach. Last year I got her this beautiful Michael kors backpack. She really liked that.

You will have it... if not this one, then another one. Your track record for finding amazing
Dooney deals in the preloved market is excellent. And, you never know what treasures
you will find at the outlet during your visit. It could be a similar item, or just some
irresistible Florentine handbags that you must own and will be happy you
have those extra $ to purchase them (plural) without guilt/stress of another recent
purchase. Even if you have a money tree in your back yard, like the rest of us,
you probably have to make some trade-offs on what to buy. The piggy bank needs
to be restocked sometimes. Any my motto is any dollar not spent counts as
future shopping money!

I love it. I wasn’t expecting to find that Clayton or zip flap. I have a feeling there will be plenty to look at as some people might be downsizing after receiving new treasures as gifts. And I forgot all about the 12 days of dooney, I really hope they do that this year.

im seeing a flood of double zip wristlets and small coin cases and wallets that were in the last sale, on the second hand market. $119 for the double zip wristlet and $89 for the small zip around card case is still cheaper than regular price, but not as good as the sale price if you could catch it yourself on ild eBay with free shipping. at the time of that sale ild eBay had the lowest prices on all the slgs, because of the free shipping. And I can see many took advantage of that sale. Stoking stuffers galore

You are right.... Dooney nylon is great quality. I think your niece will love it.

I'm a leather snob, I admit it.
I bought several Dooney nylon handbags a few years ago in an attempt
to lighten my handbag weight. I don't know that I really achieved that, since
my keys, cell phone, and other junk make even a thin plastic bag heavy to carry.
But I was super impressed with the Dooney nylon handbags I bought (most of them).
The quality of the construction and leather trim was up to Dooney best standards and
the nylon was substantial. I ended up with about 6 nylon handbags (I have to have
multiple colors) and a few larger pieces for travel (which I've never used). I also
caught a nylon dopp kit on sale and bought that too (as a gift, I never gave).

The only 1 Dooney nylon I didn't like was a red satchel.
I don't know if it was the bright red color (l like red) or the feel and lightness of
the nylon, but this one just isn't me. All the others look and carry like quality
handbags. I think that the darker and more neutral colors (navy, black, wine,
khaki, brown) elevate the look of the Dooney nylon handbags. I still need to find
a brown Dooney nylon satchel to 'complete' my nylon wardrobe. 😁

I would like a yellow nylon for myself for the summer. Now that I’ve actually handled the material, it has caught my attention. I so agree with you on the leather and nylon combination. I wouldn’t mind a nylon smith bag, I’m NOT paying $225 for it new or not, but I think its worth being added to my hunting.


I looked at the Dopp kits. They had the concord leather and the nylon with leather trim. I was really considering buying but I wanted to try and find the captiva first. I might gift the Dopp to hubby since we will be traveling around and I’m sure he will use it to keep his grooming gear. Since it will be handled I’m leaning toward the leather instead of the nylon. But the nylon can be spot cleaned right? I’ll see what they have Friday. I saw pecan tanned beauty’s video of a red pebbled leather Dopp kit, I would love to find that.
