Hi!

I was just wondering what everyone does to solve the issue of slippery soles. I recently purchased a pair of boots and they're a little bit slippery when I walk on them, even on dry sidewalks. I tried scratching the bottoms with a knife (I heard it helps), but it didn't do anything. Any solutions? Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I need help with a pair of new shoes that have extremely slippery sole (without any texture or ridges whatsoever). Could anyone please help me regarding where can I find a sole to attach to these beautiful pumps...TIA

Some people might cringe at this, but when I have shoes like this (and they weren't expensive), I will take a key or other rough object and scratch the bottom a few times. The sole will get scratched eventually anyways from wear, and this prevents me falling flat on my face.
If they're nicer (or you will probably only wear them indoors), you can get a half-sole (vibram or rubber) at any cobbler. It will make them last longer as well.
