The Smythson is really useful for travel. A friend of mine has one and I liked it so much I decided to grab one for myself.

There are 4 zipped compartments and the color coding means you always know which zip is what e.g. green for currency, navy blue for passport etc. But despite this it actually lies pretty flat. I think the only downside is if you like separate compartments for credit cards like in a wallet. But I don't take that many cards when I travel so works well for me.
