Hey ladies - so I was at a boutique this weekend and absolutely fell in *love* with a cocktail ring . . . only problem is . . . it's the last one, and it's one size too large for me. The ring can't be resized b/c it has pave diamonds around the circumference of the band; however, I was told that they can add "sizing strips" to the inside of the band to make it one size smaller. :yes: The SA assured me that the strips wouldn't be visible unless I take the ring off, but just wanted to see if anyone here has purchased jewelry with them and can tell me how it works IRL!

I never heard of them. I would think that would work really well. Since you can't put a ring guard on a ring that the diamonds go all the way around.

Why don't you buy the strips and try it on a ring you already own and see how it works.

i would, except apparently the sizing strips are actually also made of white gold to match the ring, and i think they're sort of permanently fused on . . . ?? IDK for sure unfortunately :confused1:
