Hi there,

I have a single motif necklace. I don't wear often and just realized the chain twists and I have to untwist it a few times a day. Does this happen to you? Any way to prevent it?

Thank you!

All the time! I try to straighten it out before I put it on, so I've seen a little bit of improvement. Part of me wishes I'd gone for the Magic single motif that attaches via a bail instead of the Vintage where the motif is stationary!

Yup.... 24/7 all of my single pendants are twisting; I thought it was a user error somehow so glad to hear it isn't just me. :)

I've gotten into the subconscious habit of just grabbing it with both of my hands between my thumb and index and just gently untwisting every so often. Not sure there's a solution beyond that.

Thank you both! Wow I'm surprised I haven't read about this before! Well, I guess I won't be buying the holiday pendant. Saved me some $$$

i posted a thread last week but didn’t say it the same as you, yours makes more sense lol ;)

I noticed when I wore it it ends up getting tighter around my neck and ends up more like a chocker, I never realised it was twisted when I must of put it on until someone suggested it must be twisting....... I ended up returning mine and buying another 5 motif bracelet, I think I might get the magic necklace so this doesn’t happen :( I wish they did the vintage so it moves about like the sweet and magic rather than being fixed so it doesn’t move, it’s one of the reasons I took so long to buy a pendent.

The holiday pendant is gorgeous - I'm really happy that I ended up purchasing. I really wouldn't let the twist issue prevent you from buying a gorgeous piece if you wanted it.

I also have a major problem with the stationary pendants. Not only did mine twist, it would move off center by about 10 degrees. Drove me absolutely insane. I will only buy the magic pendants from now on.

Hi guys! I am considering the mini frivole pendant as my first VCA piece (wouhou!). Has any of you encountered a twisting problem witht that necklace?
Also, if you have any other kind of feedback/advice about that piece don't hesitate, as I am a VCA newbie :).

Thanks!

I noticed that the Sweet and the Magic Alhambra pendant long necklace are more like slide necklaces and the Vintage and the Magic Alhambra are attached to the necklace on two sides. I guess one design is more prone to twisting after reading this thread. Such good information to know. Thanks for sharing.

I’d love to know that too, I was thinking of getting the malachite pendent
I know this thread is last 2019 but allow me to chime in.

I have both the Perlee Couleurs and Vintage Alhambra Necklaces and I have to say.. Alhambra's chain twists big time while the Perlee doesn't. I get surprised with Alhambra suddenly I feel suffocated cos it becomes like a choker. :confused1:

ETA: Just to let you know that Perlee pendant is substantial in weight so i guess that plays off too.

Well I don't think this twisting is special to the VA.
It also happens to me with a chain which has an emerald attached to it like the VA.
It's funny because on the opposite as you, I don't like sliding pendants: I'm always annoyed to find the clasp on the middle of my chest several times a day !
