Simone Battle, singer in girl group G.R.L., has reportedly passed away at the age of 25.

A childhood friend of the singer, Derek Butler, posted the following on his Instagram account today:

"I'm still in shock and in disbelief to have confirmed the death of my childhood friend @SimoneBattle," read the post.

"Her heart was pure gold and her star power limitless. Rest in sweet peace Angel. #simonebattle #rip #grl"

Posts by stylist Charlie Brianna, singer Drew (who competed against Simone on the first US series of X Factor), and Hit The Floor star Taylour Paige have all posted tributes to Simone.
