silver to yellow gold.

I have been reading all about plating jewelry and i was wondering if it could be done from silver? I have a sterling silver ring from tiffany and i don't feel like buying it in yellow gold. is it possible to plate it or dip it to make it "yellow gold" - any advice will be appreciated Thanks!

Yes, you can have it gold-plated...But be careful, the yellow gold color will fade with time/use
