Silt vs. Chestnut???

Thanks for asking this - I'm having the same problem! I got the hobo in Chestnut and Silt at the Macy's sale a few weeks ago and I don't want to keep both. I already have the cornflower and grey birch and I think its silly to have 4 similar bags in different colors, especially as I would also like to get the Bleecker Sullivan Hobo.
If you like browns, that chestnut is just gorgeous. Coach makes fantastic browns (british tan, chestnut - that seems to be their forte) and it will never go out of style. By the same token, they may make another bag that is just as pretty as this shade of brown down the line - IOW, it seems like they always have this in some shape.
Silt on the other hand, I don't know that I have seen this color many times. I guess Chestnut is more a staple color for Coach than Silt. Problem is, they're both beautiful and neutral and year round and its so hard to pick!!!! I'm no closer to making a decision than I was yesterday and I'm going to be debating this till I take it back!

What bags are you considering? Note that the silt hobo and phoebe have gold hardware and the silt daily has silver hardware and it significantly changes the look and color of the bag when you hold them next to each other. Chestnut has all gold hardware.
I agree with this!! The Silt looks different depending on the bag/hardware. I wanted to love the Silt hobo, but couldn't get past the gold hardware. Then the Blleeker Daily was introduced and grabbed the Silt with silver.
I like the silt color better but not in the hobo there is just too much hardware on it. The phoebe is better with the golf because the hardware is so subtle.
As much as I love chestnut on others, I went for silt myself. I hardly wear warm tones, so silt made a lot more sense for me. It's a beautiful color.
