Silly to buy 2 steps?

Why get something else you're not happy with just so that it's not 2 steps? As for the colors, black and plomb are different but both very dark. Me, I like dark bags over light bags but if you might like jaune or ivoire, maybe you can look at them irl before buying to see whether the light colors click with you?
I love the Step and the colors you mentioned so I say go for it!

I am totally digging the step - great style - classic but still modern. I wear almost totally neutral colors - no prints - so I like COLOR! for accessories - got the step in violet and I adore it! Get 2!

hell no! not silly at all! 2 is really 0 for Bbags! but in your case, I think black and plomb are very similar in the way that they are both dark... so why not get plomb (that would be my choice) and another color instead of black? you'd get much more use out of it... JMHO...
