Silly question: Coach bag names

Anyone know where the names for Coach bags come from? Are Carly and Ali designers at Coach, friends of designers, just names that sounded good to someone?

I know Zoe is named after something! His daughter? Dog? I can't remember.

I think it's a cute idea for them to be people Reed knows...of course, I like to think the Ali bag is named after me (even though I don't spell it that way as a nickname) and that was part of why I bought it.
