Aloha, looking for a silk/satin slip dress for evenings that accommodates a bra or, at least, works for busty folks. I keep seeing super slinky dresses (Nili Lotan just released the attached) that will only work on those blessed with a flatter chest. I LOVE this look....does anyone here who's a bit bustier (I'm 32D) have a slip dress/cami dress that has worked for them? Thanks so much!!!!!

Well.......I'm a 32G and I have a NL dress like that, as well as one or 2 others. Here's what I do:
1. Go braless. Depending on the cut and fabric, I can get away with it if I take gentle steps and don't bounce all over the place. It helps if the fabric is doubled in the bust. Also I'll often wear a shawl or denim jacket with a dress like this. Also it's usually nighttime so bralessness isn't so.....blatant.
2. Wear a strapless bra. I hate these. At my size they just prevent me from breathing. And they don't look natural. You might have better luck.
3. Wear a stick on bra. YMMV but I usually don't find them particularly effective on me as I usually end up with one of them where it doesn't belong, like in my armpit or the floor.
4. Wear a same-colored bra and live with the double strap look (don't love doing this).

ETA: If you can find one with a drapey neckline like a slight cowl that's usually more forgiving than one that's just a piece of flat material across the bust. If I get motivated later I'll model one for you.

Amazing!! Thank you. If the NL dress works with a strapless bra, that's fine (I hate them too, but I can live with the discomfort)....from the photo it doesn't seem as though it could be worn flatteringly by anyone with breasts above an A cup. But I really like it and I'm willing to try!!
I know what you mean about the cowl style....I will look for one of those as well. I "need" a slip dress for an event in November...I seem to be stuck on this one picture in my head!

Gold dress is Express. Nice weighty fabric (you can get away with more if fabric is a bit heavier). Dart in the perfect location.

Black dress is silk NL. That one is cut straight across with the slightest drape.

Damn! Thank you. I’m never going to wear these like you do but this is great inspiration! I’m going to try the NL :flowers:

NL straps are the only ones that don't fall off, so the design alone is superior. Other designers that make good slip dress to check out are Sablyn Taylor, Enza Costa, Alice and Olivia Harmony and Olivia von Halle Issa if you want very nice silk, but $$$.

Maybe look for something lined? I have two of these from Tibi.

The material is matte and thicker than satin/silk and therefore may not have much of an obvious headlight situation. Maybe something like this might work better? For myself, satin/silk slip dresses were too shiny.

Love this dress! (Again, doubt I can look half as good.) I am looking for an evening thing so shiny is fine, even good, but will check these out!
