This question was asked (by someone else) on a chat Thread, and got lots of fun answers, but thought I'd post it here for more people to see.

What are the signature pieces in your closet? The pieces that define your style. The pieces that scream You.

Black, almond toed, platform high heels - for the last several years over 95% of the time I'm in a dress, I'm in this style.
Velour sweatshirts - so cozy and soft!
USMC necklace - Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Purple Balenciaga sunglasses.
Rose gold Guess sunglasses.
Satty clogs by Mephisto. I discovered them last summer and about lived in them the rest of the summer, and plan to do so the next several summers. So comfortable!

Fun topic to discuss and to see what is essential, and how can it differ from person to person.
My current closed is quite minimalist one, since I figured out that I am quite uniform person, and my style is nothing of special, but functions great for my needs.
My top shall be:
1. Black AllSaints wool coat, with “standing” collar (not sure how to describe it correctly, this collar basically covers my neck as well). Length- a couple of inches below the knee.
2. Black big folding clutch (Toledano, local designer). Very versatile item, can but there a small umbrella once it is rainy. Adjustable for both casual and formal events.
3. Cashmere sweaters. Have currently 5 (2 greys, 2 beiges, 1 black, and want to buy another one later this year). All of them are turtlenecks. Three years ago I would not imagine myself wearing knitwear, but two two years ago some switch of thought happened.
4. Vintage Celine blazer (black- grey colour). Originally, it was a part of pantsuit. A month after the purchase, I came to peace with the idea, that the pants are too tight on me, so they are in my niece’s closet now.
5. Pants. I have only one dress for “just in case” moments, and no skirts. Currently have 11 pairs in total- 5 grey, 1 beige, 5 black. Pete fee lower cut, but have one waist- line pair.
6. Shoes. I am more eager to wear heeled ones in winter, during summer I am loafer type person. In winter it is either booties with 2-3 inch heel (not thin though) or chelsea boots.
Now to the funny fact. I live in very warm country, when the heat is insufferable for me for at least 6 months. The winter can be windy and rainy, but it usually does not last more than 2 months. And in this reality, I have summerohobia, and generally- love more autumn/ winter fashion. So if in summer I usually hide from the sun, and compensate myself with outdoor activity in colder periods.
