Hi everyone i am interested in seeing all the luxury vintage bags that you have invested in. With the newest bags quality going down and prices going way high i am starting to prefer vintage . I have two pieces so far. Chanel vintage flap bag and LV multicolor Mila Pm 2008. Currently looking into some vintage LV pieces like papillon and manhattan.

How old does a bag have to be to qualify as vintage? Tagging @papertiger for a reminder as I think she explained this once before. TIA
Old = 5-15 years (often termed 'out of fashion', 'dated' or 'tired')
Vintage = more than 15 years
Antique = officially over 100 years

My oldest bag is “only” 18 years old. Chanel single flap jumbo in grey lambskin with silver bijoux chain from the 2006 collection.
I love how the leather changes tone in different light.

They are commercial distinctions only. One's bag should compliment one's personal style regardless of fashion.
You have a very well curated bag collection that suit you perfectly.
The word 'vintage', denotes a very good year.
For bags, this implies it's sooooo dated, it's cool again. Basically, no one uncool is left carrying their 'old' bags so it looks new again (to a new generation).
The rule used to be: 'If you can remember them the first time around, you're too old for the revival.". This hasn't been true for a while as some of the same people are re-buying the same bags years later (as well as younger gens).
Here are some of my vintage bag families. I have loads. Most of my bags are old or vintage (even antique)
Example: Very vintage black and brown exotics and silver/gold minaudière 1940s-80s (not my oldest) on Prada jacket.

For my last entry, I’ll offer up my Marc Jacobs Stam in hunter green metallic lambskin w/ghw. I purchased it resale so I don’t know the exact date of manufacture but the earliest debuted in 2005.

Most of my bags are just outdated.🤭. I do have a 30 year old Chanel that I love, an YSL from the days when they were nothing special (maybe 1970’s?) and some 30 year old Coach bags that I value. Nothing too exciting. Oh and an elderly lizard no name. Age is anybody’s guess
