Shoulld I return or keep? Kelly 32 Rose

My DH just bought me Rose pink(? really light pink color) Kelly 32cm swift as birthday gift. He puchased from Beverly Hill Hermes. It's really a gorgeous bag. but not for me. I think this bag might end up sitting in the closet. Coz, all my clothes are dark color...black...dark navy...etc.

I just start my hermes collection this tuesday. I don't dare to return bag to hermes store. I don't want to screwed up relationship to Hermes. I know it sounds stupid. just wondering anyone return bags before? Should I return for store credit and wait for the bag I really like? or should I just keep it? Thanks.

Sorry for my bad english!! I moved to US recently. I am still learning my English now. :p

JJ, would it be possible for you to take the bag back to Hermes with your DH and look for another bag together? It was so sweet and thoughtful of your DH to buy this bag for you, and I'd be far more concerned about hurting his feelings than about the possible harm to a SA relationship. Assuming that the bag is returned promptly and in store fresh condition, I seriously doubt there would be any problem with the SA relationship.

I agree with MillStream. That's the best way. In case anyone gets suspicious.

Thanks everyone. I already told my husband. He is fine with this. when he gave me the gift, ha also along with the receipt inside the box. He want me to know the price..lol...:sweatdrop:...

I agree that you need to find something you like. Why on earth pay that much for something you won't use? H bags are meant to be used and loved! I'd feel the same way about a pink bag (not a pink person), so go get something you love. Do you think you still want the same bag in a different color/leather? Oh, the fun decisions you get to make!

Please don't worry about screwing up your relationship with Hermes. Just take the bag bag right away and get something you'll love or take a store credit and wait for your dream bag to appear. Definitely don't keep this Kelly unless you wake up tomorrow loving it.

I agree with everyone else - my worry would have been hurting DH's feelings, but since he is fine with it, I would definitely return the bag (with him in tow) and pick out something that is more suited to you.

You need not worry about your relationship with Hermes!
You will have a store credit,so the store has not lost anything!
My husband had "bought" a Rose Dragee Lindy, for me thinking I would love it.
This was NOT a colour that I will ever want. I don't like it,will never like it, I don't want it. I had no trouble turning this bag down,and at $5,000.00 plus, only an idiot would purchase a bag they didn't like!
When the bag I want appears, I'll buy it. What's not to understand? It couldn't get more simple than that.

If you're sure your husband isn't offended at all by the idea, I agree with previous posters and ask him to join you in exchanging it for something that is more suitable.
I think an SA would be happy to help you find something you'll be happier with considering they aren't going to be losing any money anyway.
That's too much money to just let sit in your closet because you won't be comfortable wearing it. Exchange it right away!

The DH is a keeper for sure just not the bag. I am glad he is okay with you returning the bag. Take him with you and you all can decide together what is a great bag for you. What fun you both will have.
