Michael Kors Should send my Miranda satchel for repair?

I recently purchased the Miranda satchel for $120 with a lot of black marks that were caused by the handles and I contacted MK and they said they will see if they can get it repair, which is good. But the bad part is, if the bag can't be repaired they will not send me back the bag and they will credit me back with other bag with the same price. Should I take the risk or not? I actually like the bag and I'm scared I will never get it back. OR should I get another bag? They said it will take as long as 4-6 weeks.
 
If you ABSOLUTELY do not want to lose that bag, then don't send it in for repair.

Personally, I would. If there was a chance it could be fixed, I'd send it in with the risk of not getting it back. The store credit will allow you to get something else, if all else fails. And there are so many new, great MK bags coming out every day. But it's up to you.

That's what I'm thinking...I will send it out next week and hopefully they can fixed if not I don't mind getting a new one in this pink.
