should I wear my LV to las vegas?

Well, I don't tend to go anywhere near the north end of the strip when I go to Vegas, and here is why...

When I was younger, I think I had just turned 21 that week, my fiance at the time and I went to Vegas with his parents. His parents booked us at the Stratosphere, and we were pretty young and broke at the time so we were happy to just be there! Well, the first night we were there, we were sitting downstairs at some penny slots near one of the exits, and I had my Coach bag sitting on the ground next to me. A cocktail waitress came up to me, grabbed my bag, and set it on my lap. She explained that we were on the north end of the strip which is less populated with hotels and closer to the not so savory neighborhoods of LV that are near to the strip. She told me that there had been several instances where people from these unsavory neighborhoods (or wherever) had ran in through the casino doors, gabbed the bags of women who left them on the floor near their feet, and ran out with them! After that, I never stayed near the north end of the strip again. The north end has the older hotel/casinos - Stratosphere, Riviera, Circus Circus, etc. The newer, nicer hotel/casinos are all toward the middle/south end of the strip.

Idk, anyhow, sorry for the incredibly long post. Bottom line is, again, take your LV and wear it with pride - enjoy it! You run no more risk of getting robbed in Vegas than you do anywhere else. You have to be careful anywhere you go these days.

That's just common sense not to just place your purse near your feet in a very public place where people just walk around.

OP, you'll be fine in LV. It's full of designer bags.

Vegas has tons of ladies carrying around very high end bags. One of my favorite passtimes is to see what amazing bag people are carrying while there. Take your LV and have a great time.

i live in vegas, right near the strip in a gated community. you will be fine with your LV on the strip, it's the safest place in vegas, crawling with security. don't go north of encore, there is nothing there anyway. but do go to city center, the LV store is unreal. it's like you died and went to LV heaven. have fun, we love tourists here! also try to hit red rock canyon, the desert is blooming, just beautiful. 72 degrees and sunny today.

Strip area between Wynn and MGM should be fine, tons of security, cameras and cops.

There are so many beautiful designer bags both being carried and in stores in Vegas. It is literally designer utopia, I get tempted several times a day just by walking in my hotel.

I did get warned by a security guard when I hanged my Epi Madeleine in the back of my seat playing blackjack in the Palazzo. He said that they are always watching for things like that but just be careful.

North strip near Sahara, Circus Circus and Stratosphere is slightly more dangerous but is probably the same as any city.

The worst part is Downtown, do not wear or carry expensive items at night in Downtown.
Lots of people get mugged there and quite a few horror stories of murders near the area.

I am going to Vegas for the 4th time in April, going to bring my LV and Chanel.
OP, you should be fine bringing LV bags but just make sure it is comfortable enough to carry.
You will be doing a lot of walking in Vegas and enough space for a bottle of water would also be good, Vegas is very dry.

LV is everywhere in Las Vegas. I wore mine there with no problems. I also saw many people carrying Chanel, Hermes, etc. Just be careful of your surroundings and you should be ok.

Sure...but I was there last month and even the nice casinos were super smelly! I don't know if their ventilation is just not as good in the winter or what but I have never experienced that before. Probably saving money or something? I know what I mostly watched out for were tipsy people walking by with cigarettes. Shopping around Vegas you're REALLY going to want to have your LVs!
