so a buyer paid (with unconfirmed address but still with seller protection) then later sent me a PM through ebay to mail the item to a different address than what is listed in the paypal email; but the new address is still in the same state, different city, than what is listed in the paypal email.

should i do it? i've done it before but not sure if this would void any seller protection.

Don't ship it yet! Tell the buyer to confirm an address with paypal and that is the address you'll ship to. It takes like a minute.

Or if write on the note section provided when you send something that the buyer agrees to have the item (write item number) sent to this address.

Anyway, make sure there's record either through paypal or ebay's communication system. Ebay won't protect you when it's your private email.

It's been my experience that you can only send to the address that appears on Paypal's website. If they ask you to ship to another address, DO NOT DO IT.

You will only have protection if you ship to the address on the paypal site.
