Should I sell and rebuy it or send it for Spa Scving?

So my dear WOC is a bit stressed. It’s over a decade old. Is it worth having it refreshed/spa service by LS or better to sell it (full disclosure of course) and rebuy while prices are semi decent? I’ve never sent a bag in for spa service so I don’t know how much can be be done or to what degree it’s worth it/temporary/etc.

I’m also not sure how if even possible to address the bottom sag.
Many input would be appreciated. Thank you!

This may sound weird but I love when my bags look worn like this lol I actually have a similar woc in black that is also over a decade old and love it so much that I can’t imagine parting with it. I had worn it so many times and traveled with it to so many places that it now has a sentimental value to me. It was definitely used and abused lol so if I were in your situation, I would definitely just send it for a spa (and maybe get another one in a different color lol) I know, sorry not very helpful.

It’s a beautiful red. If you don’t love it, list it. If you still love it, have it restored. If you get it restored, the texture will be affected. The leather gets a bit stiff. That’s from my experience though.

I love red Chanel WOCs, so it's definitely a keeper as a style. I just wasn't sure if my current one looks too beat to even be worth keeping it in it's current condition :( It's such a hard decision

Good to know regarding the regarding the leather getting stiff. Do the repairs/restoration at least last a decent amount of time?

I would keep this red one, restore it, and wear it casually, then I would look for a new one in a different color. There are so many pretty colors out there. So you have two.

I also suggest buying a leather base shaper so the sag can be improved and won't happen to the new WOC.

I agree with all of this. I think you should restore the red and keep it and buy another one in a different colour. Also I second a base woc shaper, it makes a huge difference. You can usually find them on etsy

I would keep this WOC. It’s a true 00V red which Chanel discontinued years ago. You won’t be able to find any true red WOC in new collections that is as beautiful as your 00V blue-undertone red ( most of them have orange undertone or pink undertone etc ). The nice rigid classic caviar is another reason you should keep it.

Refurbishment is definitely going to change the texture of the leather which I personally won’t consider to do. You can get a WOC base shaper like the other ladies have suggested, and that would solve the sagging issue.

Personally I will only add a base shaper and keep enjoy using it.

Meanwhile you can also consider buying a new WOC if you see a nice colour in new collections.

I would send these pics to Mark Balian at LeatherPros. He is honest and will let you know what can be done for this WOC. You might be pleasantly surprised. I have sent both a large caviar Reissue and a small Classic flap to him. No issues with the leather texture seeming altered on either.

Also, ditto on the base shaper. It’s a game-changer with this little bag. :)

I will definitely do that. Thank you! I'm worried about spa services lessening the lifespan of the bag. Illogical but that's my fear which you guys have helped dissuade.
