Should I let go of this piece?

Hi all.

One of my listings that was supposed to be inactivated somehow reactivated and sold. I cleaned out most of my designer silver. This piece I kept and while I don't wear it ever, I enjoy the idea of the piece. It was purchased for 175 and it sold for 600.

What should I do? If I sold it I could put it towards an Lv bag I would use a lot. (Speedy b damier), but at the cost of selling the piece. The piece in question is the retired Tiffany Olympian courage charm. People on eBay are selling it for a 100 more than what I did. May I ask for this thread to not be moved to the Tiffany folder, as this is a general discussion question. Thanks.

I would hold onto it. It seems like a rare piece that you have an attachment to. That speedy b will always be there, you can always save up for it. Keep what you're fond of :D

I would also be concerned that the buyer won´ t be amused - I would not be either, to be honest.

Ask yourself if you really miss it when it´s gone or if you regret selling it under its current value.

I think worrying about the buyer and you seller rating are secondary. You can always try to explain the mistake and situation to the buyer, and/or offer compensation.

Guess your main concern is possible waste. You wonder if you are better off having something you can use more often than just having it put away all the time. Only you can answer the question. For me, I would sell the piece, unless I find possible occasions, no matter how rare, of wearing it. Every luxury accessory item I like, I can think of occasions to wear, no matter how often or rarely. The ones that I no longer wear, still love them or not, mostly got sold or given away. There are still some pieces left that I no longer like or wear, but there are no buyers or takers for them.

Keep it for now. You can always look at it and enjoy it, or maybe find a way to display it in a shadowbox with a hidden tarnish inhibitor and maybe an inspirational quote....

The buyer could be a reseller anyway. :shrugs:

Will the buyer have issue with you not selling it?

It was through a shopping app so I have the choice to confirm it or deny the sale so im not sure what happened. Obviously the app wasn't helpful when I reached out to them. Another one of my items I removed also showed up to be sold today so I have no idea what's going on but I have to go through and delete listings instead of just removing since the app like their customer service is completely inadequate.
