Should I keep this vintage Drouot?

Seeking advice from my fellow purse lovers...I have been searching for a casual and smaller Louis Vuitton crossbody (not a nano size bag, but smaller than my Speedy 25). I wasn't loving any of the models that are currently available, but then I came across the Drouot and was immediately drawn to it. I found a very well-maintained one on Fashionphile and just received it this week. I like the overall size capacity of the bag, I love the look of it, and I would like to add a vintage bag to my collection, especially since I won't feel like I need to baby it at all.

But after trying it on, I'm wondering if it's too big on my frame? When watching reviews of this bag on YouTube, everyone commented on how it's a smaller bag, but when I put it on, it looked much bigger than I anticipated.

If I don't keep this bag, the only other crossbody I like is the Pochette Metis. However, I am hoping to get this in black empreinte leather, which would still leave a need for a more casual crossbody.

So...thoughts? Does this bag look okay on me? And if you have a drouot, would you recommend it?

Of course it looks okay on you, but I would stick to the Pochette Metis maybe in the regular Monogram or Reverse. The black Empreinte is also a good choice that can have this casual look too.

I like the size and shape of it on you, but I’m in the minority
Having said that, the only LV left in my collection is a black and white sprouse long alma, so I’m probably not current on LV trends. I guess, if you are asking, you should return.

I have both the Drouot and the Pochette Metis (in reverse). The Drouot has been my go-to travel bag for over a decade because it is such a carefree crossbody bag, perfect for everyday travel. It's also easy to get in and out of the bag.

That being said, once I start traveling again, I will probably start using my Metis more. I like that the Metis has an open back pocket so I can stick hotel room keys or tickets, etc. inside easily.

The Drouot is a great bag in that it isn't bulky and fits nicely against my side. I think it looks great on you. However, if you aren't feeling that bag, you will never reach for it, and no matter how good of a deal you got on it, it won't be worth the money. If you don't like it, just move on to the next bag.

Wishing you the best of luck with your bag decisions!

It’s not my favorite shape. I have and love the PM (in reverse). I also have a few vintage Trocadero bags, in Epi and mono, which are more rectangular and have an outside pocket. If you are second guessing, return and get something you love!
