Should I keep it or return and wait?

I just got my first Chanel bag for my birthday on Oct 15. I have my heart set on the medium classic flap with gold hardware, but They only have silver available, my SA told me the gold is sold out nationwide and they won’t have any until near Christmas. He also told me there will be a price increase of few hundred dollars starting Nov 1. So I purchased the medium flap with silver hardware. But I can’t stopping thinking about the gold, consider I have mostly gold tone jewelry and my two cousins also have classic flap with SHW, do not want all three of us going out with same bags. I checked Chanel website today and looks there is no price increase for the bags.

so, I’m looking for advises, should I keep it or return it before my return window(I believe I can return or exchange within 30 days)?and wait? Can anyone confirm what my SA told me is true that” medium class on flap with gold hardware has sold out and won’t be available until near Christmas “?

Definitely return it. I made this mistake as I bought a classic flap with silver hardware last year and kept wanting to exchange it for the gold but my SA and husband talked me out of it. I couldn’t get the gold out of my head and just couldn’t love the silver. I ended up selling it nearly a year later and the price had gone up by £600 when I went to buy it with gold hardware. Make sure you get what you want as these bags are too expensive to just settle.

Return for sure! I am a silver girl. I bought a mini with LGHW because I loved the beautiful blue. I endet selling it. I can’t tell you, if you really have to wait until December, but in Germany the classics come back to store pretty quickly if they are sold out. Maybe try to ask in a different store.

This is the only boutique in my area, another one is 2 and half hours away

I asked 4 Sale Associates and they all said GHW sold out in the US. I bought a SHW last week from a Chanel boutique at Neiman Marcus. The return period is 2 weeks, not 30 days.

If you have your heart set on GHW, return it!

Really? i just checked my receipt and it says return or exchange within 30 days, didn’t know they have different return policies.
I’m still waiting for my SA to get back to me, thanks for letting me know

At Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus(Chanel), we can return for refund within 2 weeks but exchange is within 30 days.

So r u returning it? :)

Yes, I just can’t get exited for this bag, it’s been 3 weeks since I purchased it, it’s been sitting in my wardrobe the whole time, maybe in the bottom of my heart I know it’s not perfection. I’m waiting for my SA to get back to me, I need an appointment to visit the boutique.
