Should I go to Paris this week for a birkin?

Hi all, I'm keen going to Paris for a Birkin 30. Very flexible with the color and leather (probably will end up with a black GHW or an etoupe PHW). My original plan is going this Friday, but sb said there will be less inventory in Jan after Christmas.

So I really need some expert advice that should I go this week or wait for some point in the near future?;)

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm a newbie too and wished that I were still living in London so I can hope over in the Eurostar. Our trip to Europe isn't until May so it's killing me! But I want more or less the same bag as you - 30 Birkin in etoupe, gris t, ebene, or chocolate w/PHW.

I was going to start a thread for folks with upcoming trips to FSH because my friends can't quite understand my obsession! Thank goodness for this forum!

It sounds like Fridays or Thursdays are good days - Saturdays seem so busy based on the Paris thread. Sure that the experts will weigh in.

I would go in February as PO will start then.

When I went to Paris last week, there were absolutely no Birkins available at both FSH and George V.

It is down to luck but at least if you go in February when PO is open, you can probably place an order.

Hi, welcome to the forum. There's no harm in trying if you do go this Friday, regardless of yourself going on Friday or some point in the future, it will still boil down to luck. Hence, it is difficult in this sense to tell you when's the best time to go (there are no guarantees either way). However, what I can share is that your chances of scoring a birkin at FSH is higher compared to elsewhere, other than Ginza Japan where stock is aplenty if budget is not a concern. In any case, there's so much to do / see / eat / shop for in Paris, enjoy your trip! Good luck, and hope you find what you're looking for! Keep us posted...

This week is Fashion Week in Paris. Stocks are usually higher for Fashion Week but they move very fast! If you can go, go NOW! Don't wait until Friday.

Last September, my DH was at FSH just after Fashion Week and all the exotics were cleared from the inventory and the SA said that was due to the hordes descending for Fashion Week :sad:

Also its podium this week when a lot of new colours will be introduced, and SMs from all over the World there! It will be very busy with that and Fashion week - maybe not the best time for a leisurely trip!

Been dropping by Hermes for the past two weeks and earlier today I saw more than 6 birkins being sold in the 30mins that I was there.. There were quite a few birkins and kellys the last few times I went too! Hope you'll manage to get one of you do make the trip!!!

Hey guys,

Thanks a lot for all your generous inputs!

I will try my luck this Friday and Saturday in Paris. Start to be quite nervous now. Any last minute suggestions please let me know. Will report back after my bag hunting trip.
