Should I get the Brooklyn shoulder bag 39?

I thought about getting the Brooklyn 39. I read the dimensions and it seems like it will hold quite a bit. The problem that I have is that it has a 12 and half inch drop. I am only around 5 feet tall. Should I stick to the 28 which has a 10 and half inch drop but doesn't hold quite as much. I suppose I could get at least basics in this one. I am afraid that the larger one may be too much bag for a smaller girl like me. What do you think? Is there a significant difference?

Some people like the oversized feel, some don't. One consistent comment I've seen is the difficulty some have with trying to reach small things at the bottom of their bag without having to put the bag down. Something to consider.

For any large bag from any designer, particularly leather, I think weight may be a consideration with all your requirements inside it so it's best to try it on. Or, at least, try a bag of the same size/style somewhere if you don't have the specific store near you.

I think the 39 is a bag that will look veeery oversized on a small person - I'm 6' and I feel like it would probably look in proportion on me. The 28 is a lot smaller so it won't fill the same purpose IMO.
I might look at another style if you're not into the super oversized look - Juliet 38 folds different and I feel like that might be a better fit on a smaller torso, with nearly the same carrying capacity than Brooklyn 39.

You are correct. I tried the Juliet 38 on. I think it fits me better and will be the one that I will purchase tomorrow. I just cannot decide which color I would like to start with.

For what it's worth I'm 5'1" and have the 39. But I love big bags!

That's exactly what I ended up doing! I'm using the 39 as a workbag and the 28 on the weekends.
