Should I buy this Dior Bikini?

Should I buy it?

  • Buy it now before it sells out, it's cute.

  • It's cute but not cute enough to pay full price.

  • Don't get it, Dior has made better Bikinis.

Hi, I need some advice about whether I should get this bathing suit. My main thought is: is zebra print cute or tacky? I like the way it fits- god knows it is hard to find a bikini that fits well. It costs about $500 now, but it may go on sale in a month, but if I wait it may be sold out in my size (only 7 in my size in the company). Hmmm

Zebra print isn't tacky, but It's not for me.

$500 for a bikini is a bit shocking, however. I don't care how rich I were, I would never drop that much on a designer bikini. You might as well just write a check straight to Dior for his kid's college fund.

There are soooo many cute bikinis out there for less. Why drop $500?

I love the print and I am sure you will look gorgeous in it. But it really is shockingly expensive. If you have enough money you can go for it. But if you are normal situated better wait or get something else. I am sure that there will be other bikinis which are as nice as this one but not wrecking you.

I don't think it is tacky at all, but I guess I would expect something more spectacular for $500. If it fits perfectly though, I know how that can make something worth a lot more in your mind. You probably won't be able to stop thinking about it so get it:smile1:

I totally agree! It's so cute but sooooooo expensive for the bit of fabric you're paying for. If it won't break the bank, why not?

Naturale has a good point too. You can't really put a price tag on the "I'm-so-gorgeous" feeling you get when you're rocking something great and you know you look so hot!

Does it bother anyone that one breast has a different lay for the pattern than the other? Should I try to look for one that is more even? We're going somewhere special for my birthday and I guess I wanted a new "birthday suit"! :)

I'm going to go against the grain on this one, and say that I do not like it. I just really do not see the appeal on wearing animal prints (or cameflouge for that matter!) I also think that you can get a LOT more for $500, even if you feel amazing in this bikini, I'm sure that you can find another bikini by another brand that makes you feel just as amazing. If you keep thinking about it, then I'd say get it. I know how it feels to not get something and then really wish you had later. If you like it, like how it makes you feel, and it won't break band, then, go for it.

The first thing I noticed was the different prints on the cups; I think they would make one side look bigger than the other!

Overall, I am not terribly fond of it. If you have the body to wear that suit (and you must, otherwise you wouldn't be considering it!), I think you could find a much more attractive one for the price.
